Chemistry is a fascinating subject that touches on many aspects of our everyday lives that many times we never really realize. Everyday we use plastics, hair products, makeup, medications, and food that has all been created through chemical means. Not everyone can be a scientist and completely understand the components of these many things, but why not get a basic understanding. Now girls, many of us refuse to walk out the door without "putting on our faces." We can travel back in time more than two thousand years ago with makeup all the way to the ancient world of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. I explored the components of makeup from the ancient Roman world specifically and I will share with you what I found out about ancient beauty and the chemistry behind it all.
